How to publish a browser extension

Once your extension works locally, the next step is publishing it so real users can install it. This guide walks through submitting to the Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and the Extinde marketplace.

Chrome Web Store

Create a Chrome Web Store developer account ($5 one-time fee), package your extension as a ZIP, upload it, complete the listing (name, description, screenshots, icons, privacy practices), and submit for review. Reviews usually take a few days.

Firefox Add-ons (AMO)

Sign in to addons.mozilla.org, upload your Firefox ZIP, complete the listing, and submit. Firefox reviews range from automated (minutes) to human review (days).

Microsoft Edge Add-ons

Register as a Partner Center developer (free), upload the Edge ZIP, complete the listing, and submit for certification.
